Young Adults Pastor Opportunity (Full time)

Cornerstone Church is a thriving congregation of 300+ members in Hicksville, NY. We are committed to biblical principles and experiencing the transformative power of the Holy Spirit. We have served a culturally diverse part of Long Island for over 20 years. Our vision is to grow as a house of prayer for all nations and are now in the process of building a new facility in the neighboring town of Syosset. We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Young Adults Pastor to lead and inspire our young adults ministry (ages 19-40).
Job Summary:
The Young Adults Pastor (YA Pastor) will be actively involved in the life and leadership of the whole church body, with a primary focus to develop an effective ministry to young adults and young families to nurture their faith in Christ and equip them for a fruitful family life. The YA Pastor directly reports to the Lead Pastor and Council of Elders.
The Ideal Candidate:
- A Man of God: 30 years old or older, married, and deeply rooted in biblical principles, in accordance with 1 Timothy 3:1-10, Titus 1:6-9, and 1 Peter 5:1-3.
- Track Record: 3 to 5 years of experience as an ordained Pastor in a Pentecostal Church (experience in the US).
- Education: Has a bachelor's or master's theological degree from an accredited evangelical seminary (or equivalent experience).
- Passionate Leader: Experienced in leading and mentoring young adults and families, building strong relationships and fostering spiritual growth.
- Dynamic Communicator: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively teach, preach, and lead worship.
- Outreach-Oriented: Eager to share the Gospel with the lost and build bridges with the community.
- Holy Spirit-Filled: A life characterized by the fruit of the Spirit, with a genuine desire to see lives transformed by the power of God.
- Committed to Believers' Baptism: A firm understanding and commitment to the practice of believers' baptism, and has a personal experience of the baptism of the Holy Spirit according to Acts 2:4.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement innovative programs and events to engage and disciple young adults and young families.
- Build a strong community among young adults through regular gatherings, social events, and service opportunities. Lead and mentor young adult leaders, equipping them for ministry and service.
- Preach, teach, and lead services as needed.
- Conduct discipleship, mentoring and counseling sessions with individuals, small groups and young families.
- Engage in active outreach and evangelism within the community.
- Collaborate with other staff members to support the overall ministry of the church.
